Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Moments in The Wheel of Time

The theme for Top Ten Tuesday this week is a freebie.  It has been entirely too long since I’ve done a Wheel of Time post, so I decided to go with the top 10 moments from the series.  Easy, right?  Wrong!  My first draft included 23 moments.  And that wasn’t even including Veins of Gold (sorry, not sorry).  It wasn’t easy whittling it down to just 10.

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

Egwene’s subversion of the White Tower

Mat beats Galad and Gawyn…at the same time.  With a stick.

Rand destroys an army of Trollocs at Maradon

The first appearance of the Gholam

The Portal Stone to Almoth Plain

Battle of Two Rivers

Rand learns the history of the Aiel

The first bubble of evil

Nynaeve breaks her Block

Rand meets the Amyrlin Seat

What were your top ten moments from The Wheel of Time?

Been to long for me to remember specifics…

  2. My favourite moment is definitely Egwene smoothing her skirt & tugging her braid. Also, all the times Rand starts acting like a dumbass around her.

Nah, in all seriousness.. I always liked it when they arrived at new places, because the world-building was great and I was always curious to see what the author came up with next. I don’t remember many specific moments, unfortunately^^

My favorite moment was when I finished Eye of the World’s 830 pages of fine print and realized two things.
    First, it was okay.
Second, I knew that going forward if I was going to devote my time to reading anything close to that long, it was going to have to be considerably better than ‘okay’.
