Top Ten Tuesday: On My Spring TBR

I almost passed on this one.  I’ve been keeping my reading much more balanced these days, and given our daughter should arrive any day now *hint* *hint*, I have serious doubts about any spring reading plans.  But there is that long Tolkien series that I’m kicking off in May, and I’m already diving into the reading for that.  And I’ve got a couple books, and there are three books coming out in May, that I’m really excited about.  I start with those, then the Tolkien.  The list below doesn’t include The Hobbit and The Fellowship, that I’ve already read and reread, respectively, and it doesn’t include Author of the Century and A Hobbit, A Wardrobe, and a Great War, which I hope to find the time to reread, or The Inklings and King Arthur, which I started yesterday.

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

  2. Children can really put a damper in your reading plans, can’t they? LOL. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy 🙂

    Happy TTT!

It’s not MY pregnancy, strictly speaking.

We’ve added three new chairs to our house so my wife will always have somewhere to sit and breastfeed, and I’m like, “ooh, new place to read!”

That History of the Hobbit looks very interesting!

Is the Hobbit edition in the first picture the green faux leather with gold trim? I read that back in juniorhigh and it always stuck with me for some reason…

  5. Oh, it’s ‘Wrath of Empire’ time soon! I might have caught up with the series by the time it gets published 😀

I’ve seen ‘Song of Blood & Stone’ mentioned a couple of times this week. Maybe I gotta look what it’s about!

Hope you find a good balance between cuddling your daughter and reading! 😀 (congratulations!!)
